Line and Wash Course
'Line and wash'
is a fusion of two different discaplines of art, pen and ink and watercolour.
Using pen and ink to capture a scene can sometimes look a bit heavy because of the techniques used to add tonal value (shading) to the composition, using watercolour washes over basic line work can soften the harshness of the pen work whether full colour washes, monochrome or diluted ink is applied.
On this course we will take a look at the different techniques and ways to apply the washes to get the most pleasing effect for your compsition. We will look at the variying degrees of detail you can go to with your pen and ink work before applying washes and see how what effect they have on the end result

I attended this workshop and found it to be very good, the tuition was excellent with Sean providing encouragement and advice where required and has prompted me to do more . The location and facilities are very good with the on site restaurant providing an excellent lunch. Look forward to more of the same in the future
